Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has reached another significant milestone in its renewable energy journey with the operationalization of a cumulative 1,000 MW solar energy capacity in Khavda, Gujarat. This achievement brings AGEL’s operational capacity to an impressive 9,478 MW, marking a significant step towards its ambitious target of 45,000 MW by 2030.

AGEL’s rapid delivery of 1,000 MW in less than 12 months at Khavda underscores its commitment to driving India’s renewable energy agenda forward. This feat involved the installation of approximately 2.4 million solar modules, showcasing the company’s dedication to accelerating progress towards India’s goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

The Khavda project, spanning 538 square kilometers of barren land, is poised to become the world’s largest renewable energy plant with a capacity of 30 GW. Scheduled for completion over the next five years, this mega-project is expected to generate over 15,200 green jobs, contributing significantly to India’s sustainable development goals.

AGEL’s success is attributed to its robust project execution capabilities, leveraging Adani Infra’s expertise, Adani New Industries Limited’s technological advancements, and the operational excellence of AIMSL. Building on this foundation, AGEL aims to replicate its achievements, including the development and operation of India’s first and the world’s largest wind-solar hybrid cluster in Jaisalmer.

Innovation lies at the heart of AGEL’s approach, as evidenced by the deployment of waterless cleaning robots at the Khavda site. These robots will address dust accumulation on solar panels, thereby optimizing energy output and conserving water resources in the arid Kutch region.

As AGEL continues to pioneer sustainable solutions and expand its renewable energy footprint, it reinforces its commitment to driving positive environmental impact and fostering green growth in India’s energy landscape.
